As Founder of Workshops for Youth and Families, Dr. Franny has been presenting Workshops for adolescents, women and families nationally for over 25 years. The volunteer peer facilitators program of youth mentoring youth, which she developed and for which she has been awarded recognition, is an integral part of the Workshops’ success.

Dr. Mills-Yerger's numerous achievements have been recognized with the following awards: 2002 Mentorship Appreciation Award, 2001 Spirit of Women National winner, 2001 Women of Distinction Honoree, 2001 Athena Award Nominee, 2000 Spirit of Women Community winner. Workshops for Youth & Families is also the proud recipient of the 2002 Scottsdale Area Chamber's Sterling award.

The Leadership Team, consist of working adults, and graduate students with advanced training, skills and experience, enabling them to be highly involved with the presentation and facilitation of specific Workshop activities with Dr. Mills-Yerger. As former Peer Leaders, the Team provides Workshop participants with outstanding role models that share the life experiences that have contributed to their success and growth. Many of these young adults are pursing post-graduate degrees in psychology, social work, family studies or education.

Amber graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Family Studies. As a trained coach by Bob Tures Ed.D, creator of The Couples Workshop, she was invited to co-facilitate along side Tures Ed.D in 2002.

For the past 7 consecutive years, Amber has attended Smart Marriages, the largest and most influential conference for professionals in the relationship education field. During the annual week-long conference, she attends various trainings and educational seminars, to ensure she is current on the latest research and ideas in the field. Amber's experience and qualifications in relationship education have given her the tools to teach from programs such as The Marriage Course, Divorce Busting, and Robbins-Madanes Ultimate Relationship Program.

In 2008, Amber completed fourth year as a Leadership Team member, a mentor and co-facilitator, with Workshops for Youth and Families, under the guidance and training of Dr. Frances Mills-Yerger, Ph.D. With more than seven years of formal training and a life-long passion for helping couples build fulfilling relationships, Amber has created R.E.D., Relationship Education and Development, classes to better your life and better your love.
